Seasonal content: holiday 3D assets for games, ads and social
Halloween is weeks away and Christmas is right behind it. How to plan seasonal 3D content without a last-minute rush.
On this page
Every year the same thing happens. In mid-December someone realises the game needs a festive event, the store needs a holiday banner and the social team needs a Christmas animation, all by Friday. Seasonal content is predictable, which is exactly why it is worth planning early.
Our Seasonal & Holidays category exists to make that easier.
Why seasonal content works
Holidays give people a reason to come back. A limited-time event in a game, a themed product page or a short festive animation feels fresh and timely. Players and customers expect it, and they notice when it is missing.
The challenge is time. Seasonal assets are needed for a few weeks a year, which makes modelling them from scratch hard to justify. Ready-made models solve exactly that.
Halloween
Halloween is light-hearted and visual, perfect for playful 3D:
Halloween Candy Bowl — an easy prop for a store front, a game lobby or a product shot.
Friendly Ghost with Candy — a cute character for a social post or an in-game event mascot.
Ideas: a spooky version of your game's main menu, a trick-or-treat mini-quest, a short loop of the ghost bouncing next to your logo.
Christmas and winter
The biggest season of the year, and the one that comes up fastest:
Christmas Tree with Presents — the centrepiece of any festive room.
Gingerbread House — great for close-ups and cosy kitchen scenes.
Christmas Wreath — an easy way to "season" an existing scene.
Snowman — instantly readable, even at small sizes.
Ideas: decorate an existing level or interior instead of building a new one; a 10-second turntable of a gift under the tree for social; a winter version of your app icon rendered in 3D.
Easter and spring
Easter Egg Basket — bright colours that work well in banners and thumbnails.
Ideas: an egg hunt in your game world; a spring refresh of your landing page with blossoms and pastel props.
Birthdays and celebrations
Not every celebration is on the calendar. Birthdays, anniversaries and milestones happen all year:
Ideas: "thank you" animations for subscribers, anniversary posts for your studio, rewards screens in games and apps.
Plan it like a pro
Make a seasonal calendar. List the holidays that matter to your audience and work back four to six weeks from each one.
Reuse your base scenes. Decorating an existing interior or level with a few seasonal props is faster than building a new scene and keeps your visual identity.
Render several formats at once. Square, vertical and horizontal versions from the same scene cover feed posts, stories and banners.
Keep a seasonal folder. Models you buy stay in your account library, so next year's event starts with assets you already own.
Season-proof your project
Seasonal models from 3dpolyx follow the same scale, style and PBR material rules as the rest of the catalogue. Drop them into scenes built with our furniture, buildings or vehicles and they will look like they belong there.
Halloween is around the corner. Browse the Seasonal & Holidays category and get your event ready before the rush.
